My Thoughts
People ask me about what I write, I tell them I write what I think is right. I write what has happened to me one day, I scribble it down so it won't go away. I swap words around until they fit, I keep changing until I'm happy with it. I try not to be silly, unless that is the plot, Sometimes it is good, others it is not. I tell folk I write what I like, it's just for me, I cannot help what people think they see. I tell of times when I feel sad and all alone, Times when my heart gives a tearful groan. I tell of my hurts, laughter and fears, Of how my life has changed over the years. Living for each of us will never be the same, The rules for living differ for each game. No matter how you play your personal part, The end result for a good life must be your art. Try to help others less fortunate than yourself, It is no fun being the only toy left on the shelf. We all are born with no guarantee for our stay. So try to leave those behind with love not dismay. Our legacy should be there for all to see and read That we were put on here on earth to plant a seed. Maybe that seed will, into a mighty tree grow. It could well be our Family Tree, You never know. © Dave Timperley 30 August 2016
