I could hear her say "Wait - wait for me, Roy!" But there ain't no "wait" in a young cowboy . So I rode my stickhorse into the sun And chased the bad guys 'til the day was done. She'd be waitin' right there by the gate, "Did you get'em ? Ya send'em to their fate?" There's no bigger fan that my little sis, I was always perfect, nothing amiss. The years passed by and I rode a real hoss. My sis got married and I felt the loss For she was much more than I ever knew. I found women like her were mighty few. Now that I'm older and things are more clear, She's top of the list of things I hold dear. I'd turn the clock back just to be that boy, And to hear her say "Wait - wait for me, Roy!"
