Borrowing Jackie's Car
I’m borrowing Jackie’s car tonight I’m sure she would say that it’s all right even though I’m not planning to ask her. She did leave the keys right out on the table and said I could use them, if I would be able to just let her know about it first. And last time she did that, I did ask her first and she said, “Sure, I guess so.” She wasn’t coerced. She knows I just need to go out. This college we go to is so restrictive And sometimes I just feel so destructive that I just have to drive. I’m borrowing Jackie’s car tonight and whether or not she would say it’s all right, I’m planning to hit every bar in town, and maybe tomorrow, when I come down, I’ll wish I had asked her first, but now - I’m borrowing Jackie’s car. . . . . It’s early morning ... I just got back and my whole life has changed, and I can’t change it back ... and if I could do it all over again, I’d have left Jackie’s car where it was.
