Petrichor
"The smell of earth after rain." Let your senses drift again. Concentrate on olfactory nerves, remembering wonderful serves of delectable, delicious delights. How about new mown grass? A sure sign winter has passed. Promise of sunny days to come. Except if you call Ireland home. Try this now and sniff the breeze, from a fishing boat heading to sea. Salt with disel and rain on the wind. Bring our costumes for a swim. Or give me a roll in the hay. Like you did that faraway day. Cow manure and pig's trogh, Hold appeal to some I know. The musk of your body when hot. Just after you have touched the spot. Earthly odours earthlings omit, shortly after that arousing kiss. Sweet newborn child I hold close. My head bent to allow my nose touch your downy head of hair. Inhale you into my heart's lair. Ah yes, those smells we can recall, to conjure up and relive it all. Blessed are we that power to possess. Those scents to recollect I guess.
