As I had come there on her behest, I went up to her and sat besides her. She had a doleful face, And her eyes were all filled with tears. With a heavy heart I asked her the cause of her sorrow, My heart completely sank when she told me That she was in the final stage of her blood cancer. I somehow gathered my wits and tried to console her, She laid her head on my lap, And told me that we had very less time to spend together.
