The flowers withered, They didn't bloom. The trees suffer and lose their leaves. Bare and dry the forest grieves. No snow falls silently down To clothe the Earth in her white gown. No walks in the rain to cool you down, No sparkling dewdrops upon the ground. No milk for the baby, My breasts are dry. The cows are all dead. The rivers run dry. No wine or beer to ease the pain. The Earth is dying without the rain. No fishing today, The lake's dried up. No butterflies on buttercups. No ducks or deer, No birds and bees Or Koala bears in green trees.
