My Cholestrol Is High
>I looked through the list of Form I should chose but there was not one for medical mystery so I chose free verse as you are not paying to see it in my Book 10 of poetry. One of the ways I deal with my many medical complications is to write about them. I started with , ‘A patient from Papworth.’ Which was my account of my personal mind wanderings and some factual happenings whilst a guest of our wonderful NHS. Others I put into poetry. This is edited as I ran out of characters. . My cholesterol level is high! I had an operation in May 2012. Was so take a nasty tumour out. And half my stomach too. Now I eat so little. And I am hungry all the time. I think food passes so quickly. From that small stomach of mine. I’m glad they left my tubes intact. You know all of those intestines. Both the little in the big ones. Both are working fine. It’s just I eat little and often. In fact, I am eating all the blinking time. I know it’s all inside me. And I wonder where it goes. As when it passes out of me. There’s not much when I go. Now I know I am a complicated. And The mad Author I be. The problem though is not in my brain. But when I visit the lavatory. I only go once or twice a day. Early in the morning so what can I say. Don’t read this bit. If you’re eating. Pass right on over it. Oops, too late today. I mean, I do love cheese. It contains vitamin D. And that contains calcium. Which strengthens bones, you see. Now I am lactose intolerant. Which means no cows milk for me. I must have had my own supply. When I was young, you see. As there was no sign of Ricketts. A sign of the lack of vitamin D. The doctor said my cholesterol was high. Told me to cut down on cheese, yes, me. It is part of my main diet. Always on my plate you see. Then doctor said well cut down, and so. I almost nearly cried you know. As between the doctor and dieticians two. I did see two different ones at hospital, it’s true. All I could eat between the lot. Was a plate of something not. Already, I’ve cut down on my sugar. Also cut down on my fats. At least I’m not like my friend Kat. He was starving when he first called. Now although he is not. He soon scoffs down what he’s got. Back to me I have a list. Of what I’m going to say. Twenty minutes might be long enough. To put my side I say. If doctor wants to say anything. They should’ve booked me for the day. And if you think this is long. You should see what I want to say. This is all today as characters ran out..
