Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Is there any corridor not haunted by silence? Any hallway where my footfalls don’t resound? This was once a hall of great decadence, But not the same the decadence where jewels are found. It was the richness of the mind, That decorated this once great house. And it was here that you could find, Many great thoughts to arouse. But before long it was determined, By the residents of this city. That if they disagree they are burdened. So they only wanted words that were pretty. And so their society declined. In vapid affirmations they were doomed. And before long they became confined, In fragile glass entombed. I utter words to them dejected, And they don’t make a sound. I long to be corrected, But there is not a wise word to be found. Vestiges of men are all around, But evidence of life there is no trace. I search for a kindred spirit to be found, But I’m only greeted by a glass face. This will probably be the last piece I put up for public viewing. I'll most likely leave the last few up for awhile since they are newer. I'll let them have some more soak time :) I have a few more but I prefer it if they didn't get viewed by the public.
