I Didn'T Know It Was To Be My Biggest Mistake
Mama’s firm rod was never used on my back That was because she had it only for a show. This did not mean I could escape her smack, when I would decide to show my tantrums. But, I wish she had used that rod only once for me to know what it gave, even I had cried. At least I would not have acted like a dunce to have stolen the rod for a weird trial. On my little naughty neighbor’s head, I hit with a decisive smash; red liquid oozed out. I was happy when generously he bled, knowing not I was his cause of death! Years of rehabilitation, away from my Mama, I never forgot my little neighbor and his blood. I was made to realize and get out of this trauma But wish I could return a son to his lonely parents. I could not, so with my old Mama, I went far away. I daily asked my neighbour’s soul for forgiveness. "Give me courage to repair my mistake" I used to pray. Thus, I took work in service to the helpless elderly. With hope that one day I could do something For my dead neighbour’s bereaved old parents. Soon, came the day, and as of me they knew nothing, I nursed them diligently, begging for God to forgive me!
