Feel My Pain
I can't take memories away those images are there to stay. And while love holds no guarantee, at the very least, trust in me. Failing to reconcile old fears, questioning love brings only tears, And building emotional walls, you ignore the truth when it calls. Self-doubt choreographs each move as if you've something to prove. And as fear fortifies your mood, you go insane and get unglued. Thinking you're being ill-treated you curse your fate, as though cheated. And sounding completely deranged, insults are angrily exchanged. Love must give, as well as receive, believe the truth, and not deceive. And yet, as lies fuel your ego, you recoil, the wounded hero. When will you be caring again, put yours aside, and feel my pain? Sullying our dreams with regret, you're risking my love and respect. (Rhyme) 6/28/2016
