Slipping
My feet walked through the air I felt the steps I felt every touch of the solid ground But i failed to feel the cry of my heart. My hair bathed under the sunlight I tasted its sweetness I tasted every burn in my skin Bu i failed to taste my own words. My hands slid through yours I heard greetings from your mouth I heard everything from the start But I failed to hear the echoes. My body danced in laughter I played with the world i played with every thing there is in space But i failed to play with real emotions. My mind jumped up and down the rules I understood how to manipulate I understood every fall bit by bit But I failed to understand myself. My heart flew in the abundance of the sky I saw how blue it was I saw how blood bade But I failed to see the reflection of my own eyes. I knew just how it goes I knew just how to clear the view I knew just how to hold back But I still did fall for you.
