Busy
My heart's overwhelmed with feelings inside, When I try to speak, instead I cry, Silence overtakes me, memories flooding in, As soon as I shed a tear, distraction tries to win, The busyness fools me with no time to feel, To make me question in my heart what's real, I step back in order not to lose heart, To recapture the love distraction pulls apart, Where has the time gone to be able to feel, Rushing my life through interruption that steals, Give me a moment to recapture and regroup, My heart's is slow to speak, I'm not as fast as you, I am like a vat, that needs to be filled, When I start to overflow, you'll know how I feel, And you won't see it coming, I promise you that, I take stock in my heart, the Lord has my back, He will show me every step of the way, His loving will for my life is here to stay,
