Between the Sheets
She sat white-laced on the bottom of the bed, He gazed in awe at her beauty with reverence, He walked over and gently rubbed her head, For no one could steal these lover’s essence. Between the sheets love making was magic, Before her eyes he touched her olive skin, For she had suffered from a life so tragic, And now her lover saw her elegance within. One touch lit a flame so fierce with desire, Each kiss chased another with a flaring glow, For nothing could wash away their blazing fire, Two souls were nourished with a gentle flow. A hand to a hand and a cheek to a cheek, Intertwined fingers grasping so tightly, A passion full of fury, he tenderly did speak, “Thank you, my beloved, for loving me rightly.” Affection so pure holding each other all night, Warmth of two hearts longing to be one, Hunger of romance, oh what a coveted sight, The thirst between the sheets arose with the sun.
