Mamas Mojo and Dragon
Dragon did a pratfall, his tail accidentally taking his Mama’s computer out. Poor Mama’s mind, lost its’ cool, as her computer hit the floor and went out. Withdrawal left steam coming out of her ears, as nightmares stole her tales. She was walking in circles, talking to herself, she’d lost her mojo, she wailed. Yep, Dragon’s Mama had a brain freeze… Well, what do you think of that? Dragon’s story poems suddenly went lacking, and then disappeared. Oh drat! The well had run dry, as tremors set in, enough to fill the great, big, wide sky. Computer withdrawal is quite frightening, in this Internet day and age. Sigh! Dragon began to worry ‘Was He doomed?’ No one knew. Oh whoa! Oh My! He became quite motivated, to help her find, her lost writing Mojo. I clarify! No one ever has enough mojo, so he would simply help her find, some more. Spare mojo hides itself somewhere, he thought, where to start, he implored! So he went to wise, wise Hubby, sitting there fixing the computer on the floor. He said, stories come from the imagination, so a free-range brain gives you more. And wild associations, lead to unexpected results, plus, it Never hurts to rhyme! So they talked in rhyme, read Dr. Seuss aloud, trying to get her mojo to prime! They threw out crazy thoughts and questions… Trying to link them. Yes, do tell! Panicked, Dragon went crazy, giving his mama a noogie. I kid you not! Oh well! He and Hubby talked about deep subjects, while daring the laughter, to come back. Sure enough, Suddenly! Two and two made forty-nine. And the universe Smiled! Dragon’s Mama suddenly realized that for the next story poem… Dragon would… Help Lassie save Timmy, who was stuck in the Well… Then next Dragon would... Find a Martian… In the middle of some Peruvian ruins, called Machu Picchu. Hooray! All Saved! Dragon and Hubby became quiet, slowly backing away. True! As Mama sat down, before the fixed computer, she began to type happily away. Her MOJO BACK and on obvious DISPLAY… Dragon’s future was on its way! But a few BIG sparks escaped, on Dragons’ sigh of relief, to land on the computer! Yep! Up in flames! So we sang taps, stood at attention, and finally did salute her! So Hubby took Mama to lunch, with a pen and paper, grasped, in her frozen hand! While Dragon was left with Grandpa Troll, so they could stop at Computer Land. Of course he had a few more mishaps that Day! Without pause, you can be sure. But all is well, as they will make a great new story poem… For you… I do assure! Written by Carol Eastman 6-11-2016
