Rain
Rain, Rain come my way - Poetry Contest Sponsor: binibining P.iNk Hold me as I await the turmoil that proceeds my sorrowful downpour beneath. A flash of regret sinks under the tunnel and barricades my refreshing nightfall showers of remorse. Outside I found a puddle. It seemed sad yet elated. It knew my pain and wanted to reassure me that a brisk cleansing would do me some good. No matter the season I seem to find much comfort in the washing away of my sins. Rain may come, and rain may go but the one thing that remains is the strength it carries. Mother nature has freely given me a reason to reveal my desires for pain. Showers of sincerity flood my actions as the streams form a river of grief. There are shadows crawling under the pond created from my tears. As the rain falls, so do my consequences and later in the night I am no longer aloud to speak. My words are gathered in a wishing well and as the sweet petrichor arises my voice returns. There are tempests and tornadoes among me, but I need the rain to over shadow my tears. That way, no one knows my pain. A new day arrives and I am beginning to realize the purification I receive as the salt pours from my eyes. They fall as does the rain, and I rise as does the sun. Date Written: June 5, 2016
