No Rope
Broken wings, they fall and decay on the sidewalk but as they drop to earth, do they make a sound or mimic well the final gasp of breath escaping from a lung For I am tempted, so tempted to fall from Earth off this chair to never see the sunrise again I've mimicked the cause of darkness with my own hair I've heard talk that this wasn't my fate simultaneously this isn't my place I may not have seen the day of white and peace but life has turned to muck like those pictures of fond memories when they dissolved in the mud Where is the help once promised me I have closed my eyes like the church has instructed a thousand times in their bated breath and praise while telling me everything will be alright But in my bated breath I prayed for mercy to fall upon me as I ask for rope to end my suffering yet I open my eyes to no rope only a broken hand So I stand here on a chair for nothing so I here sit in disappointment and tears cause I couldn't even fall back to my peers Now I close my eyes in disgust now I close my eyes to never shut them again only to open them up seconds later in a blurry rage of tears hoping to drown in my own waterfall of fears
