Broken
I lie on my bed tears silently streaming down my face, I wonder why I ever made this mistake. Asking you was dumber than dumb, Now I sit motionless thinking of what I've done. I thought I liked you and I wonder why, Since now all I can do is cry and cry. You broke my heart and stomped it on the ground, So now I sit here heartless and profound. What was I thinking liking you so? When all you can do with my heart is throw. Throw it away farther and farther, Putting it where it belongs, the garbage. My life goes on without you in it, And all I do is hope that you might be in it. Because you are the one thing good in my life, One thing I live for and strive. All you do is push me away, Saying maybe there's hope someday. But I know better than to dream, Since it's all just a part of your scheme. You just lead me on until I eventually fall flat on my face.
