I Put My Faith In Jesus
A few years ago I was very sick. Actually I almost died, but I didn't. In the hospital, I was slowly recovering and feeling pretty sorry for myself. One day, I was wandering the hospital corridors for something to do and I found the chapel. I went inside. I liked the peacefulness and tranquility. I saw a bible, on a table and opened it up. And my eyes fell on a passage by Isaiah, 43:2, When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk, through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. I put it down and thought about that and I realized I was never suffering alone. It also made me think about Jesus, and how he came down to earth to die for our sins and how he was tortured and crucified. Oh, the pain must have been so horrible. And I thought about my pain, and right then and there I asked Jesus to help me. And he did, because I am here writing this, and I am cured and living a beautiful life. Jesus is always close, he never lets me deal with pain on my own. I carry that Psalm of Isaiah with me always to remind me, that I do not journey alone but that Jesus is always there to help me. ________________________ May 26, 2015 Poetry/Narrative/I Put My Faith In Jesus Copyright Protected, ID 15-795-207-0 All Rights Reserved.
