I Wasn'T Worth the Fight - Make Their Jaws Drop Contest
I met him the day I was born and would soon call him dad. He promised to love and protect, promises some only wish they had. Time moved forward; the love and protection of another I sought. What a fight to fight, what a fight I fought. Now, my daddy stood 5'9", maybe a little less. When he said these words, he puffed up his chest: "Little girl, he doesn't love you; he doesn't care!" "How would you know that? It is only to me that his love is shared." "No matter little girl, I will make things right." He came to you and you gave in; I know now I wasn't worth the fight. I wasn't worth the fight. You let him pick your then and now. I wasn't worth the fight. Who were you to choose where my heart would lay down? Daddy thought he kept his promise; he thought he made it right. Remind me again why I wasn't worth the fight? 5/25/16
