I made it a must to always stand outside the kiosk where you worked, always coming after lunch coz if I came earlier I would feel like a failure cause I wouldn't be able to buy you lunch, come sun or rain I would be there after two days cause if I made it everyday it would make it more obvious how much I feel for you, I finally told you I liked you and you said you liked me too but we should stay friends only, in my mind I heard am not trying hard enough, so I tried harder. My first sign to stop should have been that you always seemed to find an excuse for me not to escort you home, the second should have been that you said you liked me but never showed it, the third and final straw was the day I finally had a chance to escort you home but was with some random guy whom a blind guy could see that you liked, guess being in denial all that time was the only illusion I had of us being the perfect couple...
