Mr Pea and Me
I seldom run or rush, and never race. It doesn’t pay to make much haste; But I still manage to keep pace; I’m in shape by God’s good grace. I do stay tuned with the human race. If arriving late, I’m sure to show my face. But sometimes, I’m restless, not willing to wait. Fishing is only great, if the fish takes the bait. In our garden, I observed the peas the other day; And once again I was reminded of nature’s way. It appears I couldn’t wait for the peas to have their say. Then I thought about butterflies, and gained patience in May. It's not good to hasten the formation of a butterfly. Struggles make us strong, even though we often cry. I stooped to remove a clog of dirt to help the pea’s exit. Then, I quickly remembered it takes time; and I did resist. I must fertilize and water; but alone, the pea must persist. So I exited; and the pea and I experienced patience anew. 05202016cjPS
