I Remember Clearly
it is my past. What can I say? Happened long ago or yesterday You see, there was this girl. She was my friend, I knew her well, too well actually. She would dress up each night, make up beautifully And step out in her heels. Night life was her thing Ooooooooooooooo, there was this other girl For her, she liked to be asked out Expensive dinners and after sex Morning after pills and shameful regrets Time after time, was her thing. Did I tell you about this one night, The night she almost died! With all her friends gone, to sleep their liquor off She kept wondering, "why am I doing all this?" Why am I wasting away my life As she kept throwing up continuously Terrible night it really was, she was at the edge of death! But i Bless the Lord for that night, for when She woke the next morning She was changed!! Her mind made up, I need Jesus. Alleluia, Glory to God! And like I said at the start," what can I say" It is my past.
