Sleeping With the Dead
Sleeping With The Dead And the cemetery was my home, the only place that felt like home that is, three years I barely left its gates, I was safe, that is until I tried to leave, then everything would happen to me...I mean everything, everything bad that is... Sleeping with the dead... They never snore... Talking to the dead... They listen more... I was inconsolable, it was horrible! I'd walk the grounds slowly every night, visiting the headstones of people I never knew, but now are my friends. They could relate to me as I could relate to them...Being dead.... Sleeping with the dead... I am buried alive... Talking to the dead... They never deprive... After my rounds were finished in the wee a.m. I would always make my... my final stop...The reason why I am here and can not leave to begin with, the story of my mess for this is my grave...in a way...or should have been... Sleeping with the dead... The dead remain still... Talking to the dead... How does death feel... The gravestone reads "The Most Dedicated Man You'll Ever Meet! Godspeed!" It is that dedication that buried him here...instead of me...I needed a kidney... He gave one to me to live...then...then he died on the operating table next to me... Sleeping with the dead... I miss you friend... Talking to the dead... They gave me life again... 05/15/16
