War of the World
A shot rings out as a kick off To an unneeded and pointless war. What started as a small dispute, Turned into a war greater than ever before. But before all of this began Countries fear for themselves And stocked piled weapons on shelves Each weapon gained the others bought more. Alliances only pushed things further Dragging other in countries As allies are recruited To aid each warring party. Then, imerpialism came to play Groups join others to whom the feel loyal And picked up arms to join the others. Feeling duty bound to join the game. Last but not least, nationalism was sought. Be patriotic, and join the fight It’s the only honorable way. Live or die, it is just the same. For what was the purpose of seeking petty squabble? To stain the earth with the senselss deaths of millions? Put down your weapons, give up the war. Whats the point of fight when you don't know what you fight for?
