Breathtaking
It feels like centuries inside months, weeks, days solid hours and minuscule minutes since I've seen her last Nala, my best friend I can't believe she found me here away from her world a world we used to share when we were reckless, fun loving cubs To see her here now my feet are turning to sand my tongue dry as salt tongue tied and terrified Can she see in my eyes how much I missed her on this walk towards this misty waterfall I have so many things to tell her well I wish to, I need to but how to make her see Should I tell her the truth about my past (sigh) impossible... She'd turn and run away from me And like a book she's reading me with her eyes wondering what I'm hiding Something stupid, I crave something stupid to ease my thoughts, to calm my nerves I could always jump in the water and take her down with me teach her how to swim but water's her worst enemy yet I'd give anything to see her smile Laying on the grass staring in her pools of crystals So young, how could I have missed this before The sight of her is breathtaking I've never felt this way but I'm conflicted I think it's safe to say I'm in love but this is troubling my past has crept back upon me I should tell her, I need to tell her but I'm out of words, out of time my homemade hammock can't hold me up for long
