Three Poems Rejected This Morning
1. Find My Way I'm going to find my jagged shard way back to you, cut through the muck of television life, burn through all the weeds, just to see you again, cross an ocean in an old Rabbit just to be at your door on time. 2. Unthinking I don't want hollow eyes, which is why I read even while everyone else is pushing back drinks. I sit here and bury myself in Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, whoever I can, to find a true soul in the dull evening. 3. More Than Another She wants to know if I love her more than another. There are no others. Don't get me wrong. There used to be. An endless string of others. Tall, skinny, short, round, blonde, awful, beautiful, kind, rude. Of course, they were all in my mind, so what is the matter in the end.
