Zack Vol 6 Page 3
page 3 As I backed stepped to my horse The towns folk grew around I drew out my colt but, someone knocked it to the grown If you asked me how they did it I would have to answer "Nope" But somewhere out of nowhere They produced a hanging rope Then many men grabbed at me To pulled me to a tree when I heard a voice shout out "You men---You let him free" The crowd then, stopped suddenly But their hands still clenched me tight Questioning who hollered out and what gave him the right The crowd then parted slowly To reveal a single man kneeling by the Sheriff and holding up his hand In his hand the Sheriff's gun As he waved it in the air Stating "We all heard 'One shot' and it seemed to come from here" Someone picked my gun up and checked it for the same it was fully loaded casting doubt as who's the blame "I tell you folks,I didn't shoot The Sheriff as you think I just rode in to find a room and have a meal and drink" The crowd began to soften up Their fists released their grip They stood and starred just looking down Not a sound came from their lips Then, from the crowd another voice That simply left me stunned "Maybe he killed the Sheriff by using his own gun" The crowd, as if awakened focused eyes right back on me grabbed me once again and dragged me to the tree To be continued Tomorrow same time same place "Wagons Hoeeeeeee"
