I'Ll Sing Her a Song
The first time I saw her My heart got the wobbles I could smell her perfume - My knees got the hobbles She was walkin' my way My breathin' got labored She was wearin' blue jeans That I've always favored She said, "You're a cowboy I can see by your clothes. My daddy has warned me To steer clear of all those. "But you look kinda nice. Could it be he was wrong? Can you ride wild horses? Can you sing me a song?" I said,"Pretty young miss, I hate to call him wrong, But I ride wild hosses I can sing you a song. "I'll show you this country From windmills to fences - I'll show you the mountains An' blow all your senses. "Just come ridin' with me An' let's see where this goes. Yes, ma'am, I'm a cowboy But I'm more than these clothes." So we will go ridin' An' she'll see cowboy life. Hope I ain't just dreamin' About takin' a wife But then there's her daddy, An' to prove that he's wrong I'll ride some wild hosses - An' I'll sing her a song.
