Don'T Know Why
Don't Know Why By Franklin Price 4/14/2016 Don't know why I waste my time Writing some politician's rhyme The subject is an awful thing For more than one's a ding-a-ling In the Constitution you're a must Though your actions seem to gather dust You never want to cross the aisle Your voting seldom makes us smile Don't help the country with your yea If invented elsewhere vote your nay Your party knows what is the best Vote with it and you may screw the rest No matter voters put you there You indicated you would care Ensconced until election day When you hope again, they'll vote your way You don't have to worry much For most of them don't stay in touch With what you did or how you went Most have forgotten you were sent You can hide if House or Senate Don't have to vote just be repentant Blame it on all others there They would not let you do your share You were junior did not know Of how things worked or how to go That's worked for twenty years and now You'll work for them, that is your vow
