Hey! Is that the sound of a drop of water? Creating an almost silent patter My broken heart, that I always offered on a platter, Says, I've stopped long back, so it really doesn't matter Yes, your senses are working and you are a living being But what's this life, devoid of any meaning Saying this, my brain laughs, hiding a tear The silence haunts me, and I see that nobody is near My eyes see clearly, every sight But can't discern the difference between day and night I can't understand if I have friends or foes around Am I anchored, or have I run aground? I think I should learn keep my mouth shut Swallow every feeling and not reveal much Else it would be darkness that I would always be getting Even death then, would seem like a blessing So here I am on my knees, begging forgiveness Bound and humiliated, hiding my nakedness Kick me aside and walk with your head held high This doormat will not even sigh
