I Promise
"I Promise" "I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep!" These words were written by the poet Robert Frost. These words did bring to mind thoughts of another kind, what promises had I made that became lost? Easy words they are to say, but sometimes harder to obey, "I Promise" is a short phrase often said. It is a solemn vow that we do quite often mean, without knowing what does really lie ahead! Hopes get very high for "I Promise" does imply that one's word will be kept at any cost! When this is not done, the trust is also neither won! The belief in one's word is also tossed! It did give me pause to understand the cause, of promises that I might not have kept! How many hearts were disappointed and showed this effect from the many, many tears that were wept? Though one cannot change the past, nor determine nor forecast, at any time whatever lies ahead! The only thing that can be done if a promise has been made is to keep it if "I Promise" has been said!
