The people of the town, in jest, And seeking winter blues to ban, Devised a bold and fun contest - A uniquely entertaining plan. 'Whosoever claims he owns The most unsightly dog and truck Will have the right to claim the throne' A worthy prize, thought Uncle Buck. A fair was held in early spring On downtown lake of frozen ice Where men from near and far did bring Their trucks and canids to the site. A parade ensued of vision foul Each sight more awful to behold. But when they saw Old Buck's they howled 'That is the ugliest one all told!
