No Love Dies Even If Hearts Are Apart
Valentine's Day has come for those happy lovers except me; no romantic cards, no pretty flowers; and drowning myself in sorrow, I envision my darling's eyes shine, giving life to mine...they need her gladness. She choose another guy who had less charm but wealth... I doubt if he ever loved her the immeasurable way I did; he stole away my precious sweetheart, the one I adored... wounding me in the heart and bleeding I met with death. I have chosen tears, not wanting to be alive... rejecting all sympathetic smiles to help heal these deep wounds; and they bleed, dripping like roses at sunrise... is she thinking of me today? Has her happiness turned to blues? Absence has made me realize that each memory is kept in the inner consciousness: words are eternal, never forgotten; the days spent alone, the nights looking at stars may seem vain... isn't it a reminder that no love dies even if hearts are apart?
