A Carers Poem
>Our local BBC radio station was raising funds in 2014 for Suffolk family carers in fact they raised over a quarter of a million pounds and managed. to purchase a coach so news and assistance could be taken around the county. I am a carer. I do not laugh a lot you know, seldom go out to a picture show. Stay at home, that's what I do, caring, looking after you.. It's been so long, it really has. I do not care you are my lass. Outsiders, they just don't know of our life here, we do not show. Sometimes, as I look out, I want to scream, even shout. But then I see you so forlorn and praise the Lord, that you were born. My love to you has never waned. We lived through sun and the rain. Good days too, and we've had bad, but raise a smile, and not be sad. I am a carer, can't you tell a little help would be swell. And now the year is half way through. Guess what BBC Radio Suffol, do? My heart beats fast as they agree, to raise such funds that I can see. Someone cares for us they do, for little me and others too. Who spent their lives, inside all day, caring for loved ones, they do I say. So thank you all who give a dam. Money cheques, and your time man. My life is all in a while. My thanks also, if you're a girl. I am a carer, can't you tell. I guess not, as I'm not well. But I have love, from whom I care. And with your help, they'll still be there. So thank you all, that's all I'll say and get on with my caring day.< This was sent to BBC Radio Suffolk 13-8-14 at 21:10 hours as a Facebook message
