Chameleon
Hie, little girl, run from the fear, 'til you find the next nest to change. And avoid all the mirrors that reveal your truth, as the chameleon you'll elicit your range. Is it lover you need, or nursemaid-mom? Should I lay and kneel as supplicant? A pal, a partner, an enabler or thief? Do you just want a target for your rage and rant? Do you still have your soul free and clear? Hie, young one, run from the fear. Uncertainty and frustration are unwelcome guests. Too easy to become what fits when even most you trust are vile, filthy pests. Are you lonely playing the role? Have you abandoned your broken heart? Will you lose sight of your dreams? Are you tired of every new start? Do you know your beauty can still be seen? Hie, beautiful, run from the fear. What you truly fear is what you actually seek. Playing too many roles risk forgetting who you are, and who you are is not scared, timid, nor meek. Fear and worry can diminish one's beauty. Running so often can run you down. Turning off your feelings can cause pain to others. Beauty shows when you smile; pain when you frown. Can you change once more, to the you, you truly are?
