Wondering In the Woods
Wonder into the woods with ax in hand Take care to be on time when you arrive The forest is dark. It slumbers. Don't be alarmed Bring an umbrella in case it rains Rotted fallen lumber is benign. It does not harm Never chop the big trees down at dawn Take a canteen to a source of water A polluted river will do just fine With tiny creatures like parasites residing They won't care. They need you. They want you there Cause evocative events to occur Tell untold stories Let them evolve like mushrooms in the forest dark Don't speak. The trees are listening Capture ideas then let them go Over canopies, mysteries and paranoia Take one step at a time in cadence with the katydid Noise is the awakening...WARNING: Don't walk with katydids Crawl under rocks to sleep, to calm your nerves They have no where else to go. They fizzle out Go forward at first light, not in circles though Straight is better, I guess, when looking for success Ponder strategies to defeat the foe It has eleven fingers and no soul Poison claws and jagged teeth, there to meet you Storm the monster with your hands and feet Surprise it with some candy treats Bite off its ear as a distraction Run faster for a chance to leave disaster Estimate your chances for survival Calculus is great to plot escape Always use a protractor when confused To measure the obtuse Don't make mistakes. Don't rain. That's for nature Don't go insane. Leave the forest the same way that you came
