Giving Thanks For 2015
RESOLVE H ow can it be Lord that I yet linger here A nd may have the chance to see another year? P ray why am I left alone and still standing? P ray why is Your will so dour and demanding? Y esterday I was young; today I am old N ow a sheep has strayed far away from the fold E mptied of love, ensnared by the Devil W asting time while his demons romp and revel... Y es Lord? I hear Your kind, patient voice E ach day I'll give thanks, it is simply a choice A nd climb that steep path You’ve cleared just for me R ejoicing that I’m where I was destined to be... *Inspired by my late father. After my grandmother’s funeral, we were having a discussion about life in general. All of us were questioning why this and why that, woe is me, etc. My pop sat and listened in silence. Someone finally asked him what HIS thoughts were. All he said was “Well, I just try to stay thankful”...End of discussion
