How Did We Get Here
My how the time has flown. 15 years have come and gone... since we said " I Do." There's been births and deaths... bad times...good times...laughter and tears. We use to be so close... I now look in the mirror and wonder where those years have gone. Joy and laughter has turned to sadness and doubt. Closeness has turned to no longer knowing who you are. Saying " I love you" now has a hollow ring to it... coming across more like the string on a talking doll has been pulled. Where does one go to find answers that seem to be eluding us? We try and talk...but the words just fall on the floor... as we both stare off into space. Has our waterfall of love... that once quenched our thirst dried up... Is there any hope? Perhaps somewhere up stream a dam of life's sticks has formed. Could God be the dynamite needed to clear away the debris? Sadly...I no longer know what to ask or say. Perhaps....he already knows.
