I Miss You
How I wish you were here standing right next to His Side How the Lord Holds you Dear despite an insufferable pride But to feel just a single touch from all of His Glory above For you could never know as such, the Lord's Great Love You are certainly missed in the returning of His Invitation Walking right there in His Midst and still there's no elation The more one is to encourage, it'll take the opposite affect But what will truly discourage is just flat out basic neglect It is not us, but YOU, you're the one who made the choice For we know what is true and in so being we thus rejoice But you, you choose this fate even now your mind weighs Thinking it's some kind of debate, oh the tricks satan plays So being all that grief, when you too could have been here A weeping and gnashing of teeth when it all becomes clear How I wish you were here standing right next to His Side How the Lord Holds you Dear despite an insufferable pride Proverbs 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
