Mom and Dad
I’ve been with you for more than 16 years, And never once have you failed to amaze me. For when I was born your eyes flooded with tears, And I was finally set free. At first it was just us four, Mommy, Daddy, Hanna, and me. But then another fruit mom bore, And that fruit soon fell from the tree. And As I grew, I was overwhelmed with an abundance of love. And you guys became my glue. Granted gifts from God above. And as our family multiplied, I slowly began to mature. You were always there by my side, Both so loving and pure. You raised me in the faith, And that is where I felt at peace. Guided by your grace, Never once did your love cease. I would not be the man I am today, Without your guiding hand, Preventing me to stray, And being planted in this well nurtured land. You watched me stand for the first time, and heard me say my first word, And so now as I begin to climb, I promise not to stray for the heard. So remember Mom and Dad, You taught me always to stay true, So don’t be distraught or sad, Because I will always love you. Merry Christmas Mom and Dad
