Who Is Knocking At My Door
T'was the eve of Christmas In my bed, to my dreams, I clung on fast All alone was I, all alone in a huge house Stirred not anything, not even a tiny mouse When oh, the clock did strike the due time And oh, at the same moment, I heard someone knocking on my door frame Scared, I chose to keep in bed Till the visitor would leave, feeling neglected But the knocking came louder So much that I felt pushed out of my warm cover I opened the door and saw no one Fuming, I swore to get that prankster and punish him deep in his bone But the moment that I closed the door and went back to bed The knocking came again and caused me to feel so scared I opened the door again and saw a little man, all green in color He smiled at me and told me that he came from our great savior Pray, please listen to me, I have a message from the Lord Listen, it comes from the land believed by humans to be so blurred Talk, I whispered Talk, I wish to hear that word Please, keep on doing your duty, keep on being graceful Life here does never ever be, to anyone, so beautiful So please, keep on being good and humble Even if you do feel used, even if you live a daily battle Remember that here, nothing does last So, to evil and negative feelings, please do not cling so fast Even if they skies do be silent Somewhere, some sort of power does watch you, with eyes, so intent Pray, do remember this, Shall you live with this motto, life shall be a bliss! I mumbled my words of understanding and thanks The little green man left me, and I felt no more blank Why, life did have a meaning Someday, we shall come to its enlightening For now, I shall wait for Christmas and I shall celebrate With all those who, on my being, do wait! No more shall I complain Indeed, to be miserable, no more shall I feign!
