Again and Again
empty arms, empty heart, suddenly I’m all alone on my own I have missed you, now this house is not a home suitcase packed, Spain is calling nothing here for me, no use in stalling though days grow long, the memories still linger, as I stare in silence at the gold ring ‘round my finger and think of yesterday, when summer was our playground the beach, the mountains, the carnival merry-go-round jelly beans were caught, as we tossed them at each other playing cards among the trees, as the moon above did hover woke up early, went to church and knelt to pray that this bad dream soon will end, although I’ve gone astray as I drift along these thoughts, still complete inside my mind, shackled by these strong emotions, I must rise and try to find a reason to believe, that it was not a love in vain the trials you put me through, in the end what did you gain? now we both will start all over, again and again where will it end? no one can say, no one knows when but if by chance we meet again in some distant land under a fiery red and windy sunset I’ll clear my mind of all that’s passed stretch out my hand for you to grasp
