Dear World,
Dear World, I get so frustrated at you for the hate, wars, and violence; Sometimes I could just scream. I shake my head and walk away in silence; And remember Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream. I get so sad how apathetic to the plight of others you've become; I cleanse my sorrow with tears. It must be comfortable to be so very numb; Or so frightening to surrender your conscience to fears. What has war produced for the human family? It made some very wealthy to tally up the score. Shatters Mr. King's dream of world wide unity; So even more can die, fighting a politician's war. This is your world, this is my world too; It is the only one we really know. If we are many and they are few; Can we not let seeds of love grow? Oh world isn't there more to life than money? You can't take it with you when you die. Life is but a journey; We are but mere travelers you and I. Don't kill in my name to satisfy your separatism; I will have no part in anything that harms another. Living with a hateful heart is a self made prison; And I have too much love for all who live on our Great Mother.
