Curious Ruuk
One day this Ruuk left his tree, some thought this unnecessary A tiny Ruuk unclasped his hook dropped nervously into the brook Swiftly picked by the glassy water tumbled one way, then tumbled the other Hurray, at last, he could see the sky as trees and branches sped on by High above watched the domain of Ruuk some aghast, some giving funny looks “You foolish thing, what have you done left a tree where once you clung Below you lies the cold unknown indeed, where it sweeps no one knows” But the Ruuk kept his tongue... because he'd grown cold, quiet and numb They say he died when freezing water soaked him before he slipped deep under Some say he swims with ocean fishes others, this story be entirely fictitious “There ain't no such thing as Ruuk and more fool them who go to look” But I say Ruuk are real as you and me spending their lives hiding in trees Invisible mostly, well behaved, studious But sometimes... sometimes, one gets curious
