Fading In and Out
The light slowly awakens, as the day becomes shorter. It lights the darkened parts, warms the freezing limits. Its here for a short period, for a small moment, but just long enough to show the beauty, the happiness that can be found, if I look long enough. But it fades away, it fades if I look for too long. The light opens up the parts, the reality, the same one which destroys it, things that kills it, things that won’t go away. And its starts to fade, just at it appeared, it fades slowly, darkness returns, recovering its territory, taking back the mind. Its here, it’s here like an old friend, someone you know and can’t avoid, the light goes away. But it will come back, for a while. Just long enough to show hope, but not long enough to lead me there. Light and darkness, good and bad, it lives and breathes as I breathe, it will till the end, it will till the end.
