Harboring Hate
Verse 1: Hating can hurt...taking off my shirt Fading can make you feel like dirt Sometimes, I feel beautiful and high as a kite Other days, I feel like a cow patty on the ground...you love me despite Intimidated...threatened to the extreme You're the diamond in the cave that I claim with high self-esteem I dance oh so gaily and sing on the stage, spotlight all agleam Pre-chorus: Harboring this shameful fool inside me I shout out the loathing envious words from my lips precariously Reckless and acting ridiculous all the same Ooh? Here comes the shame that I can't tame Chorus: It gets hard, I know Just go with your flow Glow on, ocean...pretty tree, come on and grow Is this morbid scene over? Are you with some other? Am I still your rebellious, vermillion rose? Do you still have the silly urges to tickle my nose or toes? I need your sympathy and adoration right now Sweeten me with your honey...somehow... I'm Bittersweet Butter to your taste buds...as scrumptious as can be Cut me into slices to toss into the pan...don't be afraid to fire me up and set me free from captivity Harboring hate Loving the debate Between chaos and commotion And peace and emotion, a perplexed ocean Verse 2: God knows I've tried Crazy in love, rumor has it that you're taken! I didn't like that you lied What have you done to me? I'm forsaken! Baby, I'm everything that you don't have Baby, you're the best thing you never had All you do is smile it away and laugh that laugh Talk that talk like nothing happened between us...now, who's bad? Bad to the bone... But oh so alone Admired from afar Zooming off like a car Freedom is just a block away, around the corner really! To be honest, let me make my own decisions, for I'm not dumb, but smart strangely! Pre-chorus Chorus Verse 3: I wish I had a sexy person next to me, Wiping away the tears I've wept freely You have a part of me...most of what I was - a tattered and torn toy You don't have all of me yet...I'm a heartbroken, bipolar boy You're with me or without me, but I don't mind I'll find someone unlike you or like you, these tears I shed make me blind Wake me up from the other side of the bed Drenched in the dread that blankets me like the dirt, caked on the dead Young love bleeds Young minds feeds On wisdom and foolish endeavors and lusts On feelings and logical reasonings that bursts into thousands of shards...each shard eventually rusts Reduced to dust like my high hopes had a while back Sidetracked for no reason that's rational, but genuine and sweet just a crack Pre-chorus Chorus Verse 4: Photograph of wrath scorches my smudged soul The pain of your healing rain left me frozen in place as a whole Eyes do shine when you are sincerely mine Eyes do dim when you're with, you know, him You were my yummy cheese and wine You were my blissful melody and whim Wrap your lips on my own and let our tongues collide Drag your feet on the slippery floor of shattered dignity and I'm on disdain's ride Love mended my heart and stitched it in one piece...please put you and I at perfect ease Again, you saved me from the dark that's been a nasty little tease The shadows consume loneliness just like we do in times of trouble So entitled to your love from above...walking on our filthy, yet clean rubble Pre-chorus Chorus Verse 5: Not everything is black and white, there are many shades of gray Not everything is black and white, there are many shades of gray When I am away and fighting the good fight, I'll be putting a stop to harboring hate When the day is murdered by the nostalgic night, Your insults stabbed me like countless swords that won't open the gate To everlasting serenity in the near future Find me a cure and please help me endure... Jealous...Your heart is innocent and clearly pure The pages of us together Floats away like a feather Lighten up the heavy load You are my haven and abode You are the road to success in the long run Trust me, you should let some sun in...then, let the fun begin, hun Happy to say that I'm Held Close...we are friends and foes Eyes meet and feet entangle the moment they greet I'm passionate poetry and your prideful prose... Anything goes...how neat! I was trouble from the beginning, but I'm kinda discreet Remember me like the month of November Or I'll grow cold and frail in the middle of December Summertime happiness and wintertime sadness They both push and pull at us, but we're on the same rowdy buss, we're making excellent progress! Not everything is black and white, there are many shades of gray Not everything is sky and ocean, there are in betweens like wilderness and city...differences and similarities are shared like night and day
