Show Me How To Pray
I did not go to church today, I just couldn’t find it in my heart to pray. Oh, I could try and find some explanatory excuse, but let’s face it, I didn’t want to go that’s the truth. I went before because I want so to believe, but every Sunday, that goal is unachieved. Perhaps my prayers are unheard, not what they should be, as my soul is blurred. I want to speak Lord. do my prayers speak some non harmonic chord? I cannot help but question that you’re there. I’ve said the Our Father over and again, the repetition is unclear and seems all pretend, surely there are better words. I seek to know the how, the why, the where I am continually searching, reaching listening, but feeling nothing but guilty conscience here. Perhaps Lord, you could come and show me, Show me what to say. Show me how to pray.
