When Darkness Falls
When darkness falls, in the hearts of men, evil begins, with the machinations of sin. Launching forth lies, in an embattled rage, enemies,in conscious thought, condemn the sage. The Innocence of Truth, betrayed into hands of malice, stealthily delivered by envy, into Pilates palace. Judgement was shot quickly, like a poisoned dart, grief then eclipsed hope, in the faithful ones heart. Wailing in grief, at this terrestrial injustice, his mother, Mary, who, to his friend was entrusted. Til his last breath, he was, thoughtfully forgiving, his life ending, but, for us sparked a new beginning. Since then darkness has fallen, over all humankind, pride and selfishness has supplanted, the meek and the mild. Wheat and weeds grow together, weeds choking the rest, God watches patiently, deciding who passes the test. Then, and only then, when his due time arrives, his Son of Righteousness arises, begins to shine. His favour he shows, to all who walk on in the light, but, woe to those who only love the darkness of the night. John Derek Hamilton November 8,2015
