The Storm and Wrecked Harmony
The Storm And Wrecked Harmony (Revised) After the storm, finding Nature again sound grieving, trees bent and ravaged spoke In looking for more blessed gifts around angered at Nature's harmony this storm broke. Sadly, what man had not dared to cut down elms, willows and mighty black oaks Now savaged like a discarded night gown and cracked wheel with broken spokes. Yet in that storm's aftermath Nature lives new growth must have a place to start Fallen trees, newly opened places gives lowly shrubs sunlight to again restart. First gaze at wreckage, such is hard to see looking like turtle with a shell crack Life's realities say that nothing is free storm-blast proves that right on track. Across meadows are less destructive scenes flowers broken but only the weakened few Worst hard hit, blown to smithereens Yet majestic Nature always shines on through. Fire, may burn this wreck on the ground If so then Nature will have found Precious ash bringing new life around And thus prove Nature's ways are sound. After the storm, finding Nature again sound in grief, trees bent and ravaged spoke. In looking for more blessed gifts all around angered at Nature's harmony this storm broke. Robert J.
