Magical Radiance-Favorite Flower Contest
Favorite Flower-Contest Sponsor:Nayda Ivette Negron The most appealing flower in my life is the delicate lily. I just can't wrap my head around her ravishing blossom. They start off as tiny seeds and the roots grasp the earth for stability, And the stem encompasses the bud. Sometime after winter but before the fall, I can watch as she grows into blooms of joy, Pulling weeds, enjoying the high degree of the sun, And there she is, flourishing into astounding glory. Orange, yellow, pink and red, All colors so bright the sun needs shade, The pollen produces food for the honey bee's, And the circle of life has been explored. Once I knew a girl who had passed away suddenly, And oh boy, did she love those lilies... So now I make sure I take care of her babies, Honoring her at her grave site. If I had to use two words to describe my admiration it would be, -"Magical Radiance". No matter the season I always look forward to her tender, embellishments glowing within the warmth. 3rd Place Winner Written By: Laura Urbaniak Date: November 4, 2015 3rd Place Winner
